“Thanks to our different experiences, we all have completely different mindsets, which allowed us for some incredibly interesting ideas.”——Mandu, MC oGX South Korea 19.20

Living diversity is definitely not an easy thing to do! As one of only two internationals in my team I can say that I was the one who lived the hardest times of the “Diversity”.

Being the only one not coming from an Asian country, with a very little interaction with Asian I witnessed an interesting, hard but full of learnings journey.

Having or being an international in a team brings a lot, starting from being super productive; chances are the flow of ideas was endless. My teammates always came up with several ideas that never had crossed my mind, and I did the same! Thanks to our different experiences, we all have completely different mindsets, which allowed us for some incredibly interesting ideas.

Especially when we had brainstorming spaces; the more ideas we can think of, the better! Not only that, but also having brainstorming spaces taught me more about what works in their own environment especially for me as international!

In addition, my network was more challenging and confronting for me about the Korean reality, as I managed more than forty (40) Korean, from three (3) different commissions. I was pushed to understand more and quicker about how everything works, and how to be capable to adapt to it.

Of course I had a lot of struggles, ups and downs due to the huge differences between our realities. I cannot say that I succeeded in term of adapting 100% as this will requires more times, more interactions and more understanding for the entity, twelve (12) months is definitely not enough to understand everything about a county nor its people, the only thing you can do is learning more about “Living diversity!”.

As an advice for you as international, I can promise you one thing; you will never regret your experience.
